When you want to hire virtual assistant providers to run your business, realize that virtual assistant applicants will contact you after you follow the instructions in step #1 (how to find a virtual assistant). Before you hire virtual assistant providers, you will need to evaluate the tons of resposnes you'll receive in order to find the most qualified applicants. You'll then be ready to do a phone interview to found the best possible applicant and then you can hire virtual assistant providers to run your business. I will show you how a process that could normally be really frustrating can be completed in an incredibly fast and easy way.
Filtering through the tons of responses you will get from your job posting is made simple by a two step process I use. I use this process evertime that I want to hire virtual assistant providers for my business ventures.Step 1: Look For Clues in the Emails
| When reading the emails that applicants send to me in response to my job postings, I can easily see which are qualified and would be good choices when I want to hire virtual assistant providers. Through reading the emails, I can also realize which are not even worth taking the time to talk to.
|
- Did The Email Includes All Requested Info?
When I posted the job posting (seen on the article about finding potential assistants), notice how I asked for very specific information from the applicant. I don't want to hire virtual assistant providers that don't take the time to read my initial job posting. I asked for information such as name, email, skype username, etc. In addition, I specifically asked them to designate (1) their experience that relates to my job requirements (2) the desired hourly rate for the job (3) a specific time that I could reach them on skype in USA timezone. If any of this information is missing, do not bother contacting this applicant back. Simply delete the email and move on. When trying to hire virtual assistant providers, dealing with these applicants that made errors will only frustrate you. In my experience in trying to hire virtual assistant providers, someone that fogrets to include certain information int the emailed response is someone that will forget minor details of tasks that you assign them in the future, which is amazingly frustrating. If you'd like to be nice about this then you could possibly send them an email back saying something along the lines of "I'm sorry, but you didn't included the requested information from the job posting. We'll need to consider other applicants that included all requested information before getting back to your application. -Regards". However, I nearly always just delete the applicants that don't follow all directions and would suggest you do the same to make the best use of your time when you want to easily find and hire virtual assistant providers. - Is The Email Professional, Well Written, and Understandable?
Would you want to hire virtual assistant providers that can't write a professional email? When reading the email from the applicants trying to hire virtual assistant providers, think of it from your customers point of view: is the email written by someone that understands the english language? It should be fully understandable, professional in how it's presented, etc. In seeking to hire virtual assistant providers, you're time should not be wasted on emails that aren't professional. It really comes down to this: do you feel like your customers would read this email and think it's written by a professional or think it's written by someone that doesn't speak perfect english. It's that simple. Step 2: Conduct a Phone Interview
| When you want to hire virtual assistant providers, decide which applicants are qualifed, according to step 1 above. Once you decide an applicant is qualified, schedule a time to speak with the applicant over the phone so you can hear how well they communicate. In seeking to hire virtual assistant providers, this step is extremely inmportant. In order to schedule this interview, follow the steps below.
|
(1) Send an Email With Your Scheduled Time Send an email to each qualified applicant with the time that you desire to speak to them in consideration of them in your quest to hire virtual assistant providers. The key here is that you are telling them the time: do not email them saying, "what time works for the phone interview to be scheduled?" Instead, designate a specific time for the interview. When wanting to hire virtual assistant providers, it's important that you be in the 'drivers seat' of the process. An email template is noted below Hello, My name is ***Your name here*** and you responsed to my craigslist posting regarding my request to hire virtual assistant providers. I thank you for your response and would like to conduct a phone interview with you, as you are among a group of applicants that I've decided to consider for the job position. Below is the information regarding the phone interview. If you cannot conduct the phone interview according to the details below for any reason, please email me back to notify me and we can possibly reschedule in the future, depending on the other phone interviews we have scheduled. Date and time: ****Insert Date and Time****be very very specific when wanting to hire virtual assistant providers. Such as Monday, December 1st at 4:15pm US Pacific Standard Tim My Skype Username: ***insert your skype username here*** Your Provided Skype Username Where I Will Contact You: ****insert name they previosly provided*** Once again, I thank you for your response and I look forward to speaking with you soon. I will contact you at the date and time noted above to conduct the interview. Once again, if you cannot speak at that time please contact me via email right away to inform me. Regards |
(2)Conduct the Phone Interview When making a decision in your quest to hire virtual assistant providers, the main goal of the phone interview is to figure out if the applicant can speak english perfectly, can carry on a conversation so that they are helpful to your customers, and to explain the full details of the job position to the applicant. The phone interview should end with no decision being made in your quest to hire virtual assistant providers until a later time. You will need time to evaluate all the qualfiied applicants before settling to hire virtual assistant .
Goal 1: Can The Applicant Communicate Over the Phone? | In order to learn the communication and english skills of the applicant, go through the following steps. - Ask them to talk about themselves (their work experiences, past jobs, what their career goals are, hobbies, etc. The main goal of this is to get the applicant to speak by themselves for at least 1 minute about a topic they're comfortable with (talking about themselves) so that you can realize how well they communicate. Afterall, if they can't seem to communicate well when telling you about themselves then they will surely not be able to communicate effectively with your customers. This is an easy way to tell who is qualified when wanting to hire virtual assistant providers.

Goal 2: Explain the specifics about the Job position | When trying to hire virtual assistant providers and you're confident of the applicants communication skills, as instructed above, it's time that you explain the full details of what this applicant will be doing for you if he/she is hired for the job. Include information noted below and any other information you think you would want to know about a new job you applied for. - Job tasks: what exactly will he/she be doing for you? I suggest given them a 30-60 second summary of a 'typical day in the life of' this particular job position
- Time requirements: how many hours daily, how many days each week, what timezone will he/she be working in (keep in mind the US PST timezone is the middle of the night for some areas of the world although many of the applicants are comfortable with this), etc.
- Financial Compensation: you need to have a set hourly wage that you expect to pay for the job position. To see suggestions for realistic wages click here. However, you also need to take note of what the applicant requested in their initial response to the job posting when you asked them for their hourly compensation desire. If they asked for a wage that is lower than your expected wage then be sure to simply start them at their requested wage. You can always give them a raise in later weeks/months since you had expected to pay them more then they actually asked to get paid.
- Status of Next Step If They're Hired: explain to them that you'll be interviewing more applicants (even if you actually won't be) and that you'll be making a final decision regarding the job position soon (1-2 business days maximum I suggest). If they were to be hired for the position, explain when you expect them to begin, the task training process, etc.
- Answer Any Questions: be very sure to specifically ask if they have any questions about the job position now that you've explained some details. You can learn a lot about an applicant from the questions they answer so be sure to encourage the applicant to ask questions.
